Title Machine Operator
Location St. Louis, MO
Primary Duties

Purpose: Optimize productivity, safety and quality at the Re-Poly plastics reprocessing facility.

Task: Safely operate, maintain and troubleshoot all facility equipment.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Safely operate all facility equipment: conveyors, sorting, shredding, grinding, washing, drying and extrusion machinery; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; rolling stock.
  2. Maintain, monitor, test, changeover and troubleshoot equipment to optimize productivity, safety and quality.
  3. Assist with material handling: load and unload tractor trailers; monitor quantity and quality of raw materials and finished product; assist with material changeovers.
  4. Communicate relevant information to team members and management.
  5. Maintain and enforce highest housekeeping standards in all areas of the facility.
  6. Follow and enforce company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.

Key Results: Measured on a continuous basis and published monthly, indicators of successful performance are as follows:

  • Production standards
  • Safety standards
  • Quality standards
Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or technical certification preferred.

Experience: 5 years of fabrication, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatics required; welding,
PLC control wiring and programming preferred.

Equipment: Experience with the following equipment preferred: conveyors,
sorting, shredding, grinding, washing, drying and extrusion machinery; hydraulic
and pneumatic systems; rolling stock.

Technology: Experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) and other production software preferred.

 

Salary

Working Conditions

Position involves extensive physical labor. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, stand for continuous periods of time and work inside a non-climate-controlled, noisy production environment.

Schedule: 12-hour shift schedule that rotates days/nights every two weeks.
